What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Belocal's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee cannot directly modify the mailing list provided by the franchisor without express written approval. However, a franchisee can request adjustments to the mailing list. The franchisor retains sole discretion to either approve or deny these requested adjustments. If the franchisor approves the changes, they will provide the franchisee with an updated mailing list.

This policy ensures that Belocal maintains control over its brand standards and marketing strategies. By requiring franchisees to seek approval for mailing list modifications, Belocal can ensure consistency and accuracy in its outreach efforts. This protects the brand's reputation and ensures that marketing materials are distributed appropriately.

For a prospective Belocal franchisee, this means that while they have the opportunity to provide input on the mailing list, the final decision rests with the franchisor. It is important for franchisees to understand this process and maintain open communication with Belocal regarding any suggested adjustments to the mailing list. This collaborative approach can help optimize marketing efforts while adhering to the franchisor's guidelines.
