If you, your staff, or your Principals develop any new concept, process, or improvement in the operation or promotion of your Franchised Business, you must promptly notify us and give us all necessary information about such new process or improvement, without compensation. You, your staff, and your Principals agree that any of these concepts, processes, or improvements will become our property, and we may use or disclose them to other franchisees, as we determine appropriate.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Belocal's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee develops any new concept, process, or improvement related to the operation or promotion of their franchised business, they must promptly notify Belocal and provide all necessary information without compensation. This means Belocal does not have to pay the franchisee for the idea.
Belocal maintains ownership of these concepts, processes, or improvements. The document states that Belocal has the right to use or disclose these innovations to other franchisees as they deem appropriate.
