What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Belocal's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee develops any new concept, process, or improvement related to the operation or promotion of their franchised business, they must promptly notify Belocal and provide all necessary information without compensation. This means Belocal does not have to pay the franchisee for the idea.

Belocal maintains ownership of these concepts, processes, or improvements. The document states that Belocal has the right to use or disclose these innovations to other franchisees as they deem appropriate.

This clause in the franchise agreement allows Belocal to freely share and implement successful ideas from one franchisee across the entire franchise system. While this could benefit the network as a whole, individual franchisees may not receive direct compensation or recognition for their contributions. Prospective franchisees should consider this when evaluating the potential benefits and risks of investing in a Belocal franchise.
