What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Belocal's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, both N2 (presumably a Belocal affiliate) and the franchisee can terminate the agreement for convenience. However, if the Belocal franchisee chooses to terminate for convenience, it is subject to a specific condition.
The condition is that any termination for convenience by the franchisee is subject to the then-current minimum service period(s) associated with the selected Services as set forth in the Service Guidelines. This means that a franchisee cannot simply terminate the agreement at any time without considering the service period obligations they have committed to.
This condition is important for prospective Belocal franchisees to understand because it affects their ability to exit the franchise agreement if they choose to do so before the agreement's natural expiration. Franchisees need to carefully review the Service Guidelines to understand the minimum service periods associated with the services they select, as these periods will dictate when and how they can terminate the agreement for convenience without penalty.
