What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Belocal's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Belocal or its affiliate collects payments subject to the Administrative Credit Card Fee. This fee is charged to cover credit card transaction costs and administrative involvement related to payment processing.
The Administrative Credit Card Fee is currently 3% of any amount paid by a third party using Belocal's designated credit card processing platform. This applies to fees or other amounts owed in connection with the Publication or the Franchised Business. While currently only charged for event revenues, Belocal reserves the right to extend this fee to other third-party payments with 90 days' notice.
Belocal also retains the right to increase the Administrative Credit Card Fee, potentially up to a maximum of 5% of the total amount paid by a third party via credit card, to account for increases in vendor pricing. Furthermore, Belocal may mandate the use of its designated credit card processing platform for any fees or amounts related to the Publication or Franchised Business.
