What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Belocal's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, besides providing software, Belocal does not provide or deliver any of the items needed for the operation of the franchise. However, Belocal will give franchisees a list of approved or designated suppliers and other written specifications for required or recommended goods and services.
Belocal does provide initial training, access to the Franchise Brand Standards Manual, and ongoing advice and written materials regarding the operations and management of the franchised business. Franchisees are responsible for securing their own office space, which can include their home, and ensuring it meets local ordinances and building codes. Belocal does not assist with site selection or negotiation.
Franchisees are required to have a working phone and maintain a personal computer or tablet with internet access at their office. The estimated cost for these items ranges from $0 to $2,650, depending on whether the franchisee already owns them. The estimated annual cost for maintenance, updates, upgrades, or support contracts for these items is $0 to $500. Belocal provides sales order and commission management software and publication production management software, and while they have the right to charge for it, they currently do not.
