What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Belocal's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Administrative Credit Card Fee is due as incurred. This fee is currently 3% of any amount paid by a third party using Belocal's designated credit card processing platform to pay fees or other amounts owed in connection with the Publication or relating to the Franchised Business.
Currently, Belocal only charges this fee in connection with event revenues, which includes amounts paid by event sponsors or others connected with local events organized by the franchisee. However, Belocal retains the right to charge this fee in connection with any other third-party payments of fees or other amounts owed related to the Publication or the Franchised Business made using their designated credit card processing platform, provided they give 90 days' notice.
Belocal also reserves the right to increase the amount of the Administrative Credit Card Fee from time to time, up to a maximum of 5%, due to increases in vendor pricing or other factors. This fee covers the credit card transaction fees and Belocal's administrative involvement in processing these payments. Franchisees should be aware that this fee impacts their commission payment, as it is determined, in part, by the amount of any Administrative Credit Card Fees owed.
