What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Belocal's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, any notices required or permitted under the Transfer Agreement must be in writing. These notices can be delivered through several methods.
The acceptable delivery methods include personal delivery, mailing by expedited delivery service, or certified or registered mail with return receipt requested and first-class postage prepaid. Notices can also be sent by prepaid facsimile, provided that the sender confirms the facsimile by sending an original confirmation copy via certified or registered mail or expedited delivery service within three business days after the initial transmission.
All notices should be sent to the addresses specified in the Transfer Agreement until either party designates a different address via written notice to the other party. This ensures that all official communications are properly documented and received by the intended recipients, which is crucial for legal and contractual compliance during the transfer process.
This level of detail in specifying notification methods is typical in franchise agreements to avoid ambiguity and ensure that all parties are aware of their obligations and rights, particularly during significant transactions like franchise transfers.
