What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a prospective franchisee signs a Site Selection Addendum, Beggars Pizza will provide on-site evaluations as part of their site approval process. However, Beggars Pizza will not conduct on-site evaluations for any potential location until they have received all the necessary information and materials required under the Franchise Agreement.
If Beggars Pizza deems an on-site evaluation necessary and appropriate, they will conduct up to two evaluations at their own expense. For any additional on-site evaluations beyond the initial two, the franchisee is responsible for reimbursing Beggars Pizza for all related expenses. These expenses include the costs of travel, lodging, and meals incurred by Beggars Pizza representatives during the evaluation.
This policy ensures that Beggars Pizza has adequate information to assess a site before incurring the costs of an on-site visit. It also provides franchisees with an opportunity to have multiple sites evaluated, although they will bear the cost for any evaluations exceeding the initial two. This is a fairly standard practice in franchising, where the franchisor provides initial site selection assistance, but the franchisee often bears the costs of extended support.
