What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee for a second Beggars Pizza restaurant can be reduced by 50% under specific conditions. This discount applies only when the second restaurant is opened by an ownership group identical to that of the first restaurant, with each owner maintaining the same ownership interests in both ventures.
For a prospective franchisee, this represents a significant cost-saving opportunity if they plan to expand and open multiple Beggars Pizza locations. The standard initial franchise fee is $25,000 for a restaurant with 150 or fewer seats and $40,000 for a restaurant with more than 150 seats. A 50% reduction could save $12,500 or $20,000, respectively, on the second location.
It is important to note that the ownership structure must be precisely the same for the discount to apply. Any changes in ownership percentages or the addition/removal of owners would likely disqualify the franchisee from receiving the reduced fee. This condition encourages consistent management and investment across multiple locations, which Beggars Pizza likely sees as beneficial for maintaining brand standards and operational efficiency. The initial franchise fee is nonrefundable.
