What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, while the franchisor generally agrees not to establish or license other parties to establish a Beggars Pizza restaurant within a franchisee's territory during the term of the agreement, there are several exceptions.
Specifically, Beggars Pizza retains the right to establish and operate, or license others to establish and operate, Beggars Pizza restaurants within a franchisee's territory at existing or future shopping malls, airports, bus and train depots and other transportation terminals, entertainment facilities (including sports stadiums) and theme parks, and rest stops, plazas, and similar locations accessible from limited access highways.
Additionally, Beggars Pizza and its affiliates can accept delivery orders and deliver products within a franchisee's territory, and allow other franchisees to do the same. They also retain the right to sell or distribute products similar to those offered under the Beggars Pizza system at locations other than Beggars Pizza restaurants, such as supermarkets, convenience stores, markets, and grocery stores, as well as over the Internet and other online networks, regardless of their proximity to the approved location or whether they are within or outside the franchisee's territory.
