What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Beggars Pizza Franchise Disclosure Document, a manager must complete an initial training program to the Franchisor's satisfaction before the restaurant opens. If the franchisee is a corporation, partnership, or limited liability company, a principal approved by Beggars Pizza must attend the initial training program. Any manager hired after the restaurant opens must complete the training program within 90 days of their hire date, again to the Franchisor's satisfaction.
Beggars Pizza also requires franchisees, their managers, and other employees to attend additional courses, seminars, conferences, monthly or annual meetings, and other training programs as reasonably required by Beggars Pizza. The FDD states that Beggars Pizza may charge a fee for these additional programs.
All required training and meetings will be held at times and places designated by Beggars Pizza and may be conducted via the Internet, intranet, conference call, or other means determined by Beggars Pizza. For the initial training program, Beggars Pizza will provide instructors, training materials, and technical training tools at no charge to the franchisee. However, the franchisee is responsible for any reasonable registration fees and all other expenses incurred by the franchisee and its employees, including transportation, lodging, meals, and wages, for both the initial training program and any additional training programs or mandatory meetings.
