What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must pay a renewal fee to extend their franchise agreement for an additional term. The standard franchise agreement lasts for ten years, and franchisees have the option to renew for one additional ten-year term.
However, to be eligible for renewal, franchisees must meet several conditions. These include providing timely written notice of their intent to renew, completing all required maintenance, refurbishing, renovations, and remodeling to ensure the restaurant reflects the current Beggars Pizza image. Franchisees must also be in full compliance with the existing franchise agreement and have satisfied all financial obligations to Beggars Pizza, its affiliates, and trade creditors.
Additionally, franchisees must demonstrate their ability to maintain possession of the restaurant premises for the renewal term, execute the then-current form of the Franchise Agreement (which may contain materially different terms), and ensure that both the franchisee and their owners execute a general release. Compliance with Beggars Pizza's current qualification and training requirements is also necessary. Meeting all these stipulations, including the payment of a renewal fee, is required for franchisees to successfully renew their Beggars Pizza franchise.
