Answer from 2025 FDD Document

In addition, you may accept orders and provide delivery service of approved menu items outside of your Territory (except in the specific geographic areas specified in your Franchise Agreement) provided that you refrain from mailing or delivering, or directing any third party from mailing or delivering, by any means, any hard copy print advertising, door hangers, hand-out advertisements, coupons, mailers, or other hard copy advertisements to business and residential addresses outside of your Territory. Any hard copy advertisement in a newspaper or any other advertising by television, radio, the Internet, or any other print or electronic medium will not be subject to this territorial restriction. You do not have the right to use other channels of distribution such as the Internet, telemarketing, or other direct marketing to make sales outside of your Territory unless permitted by us in the Manuals or otherwise in writing.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, there are exceptions to the territorial advertising restrictions. A franchisee can accept orders and provide delivery service of approved menu items outside of their territory, unless specified otherwise in the Franchise Agreement. However, the franchisee cannot send hard copy advertisements outside of their territory. This restriction does not apply to advertising through newspapers, television, radio, the Internet, or any other print or electronic medium.

This means that while Beggars Pizza franchisees are generally restricted from actively soliciting business outside their designated territory through physical advertisements, they can still fulfill orders from customers in other areas and can advertise through broader channels that aren't geographically limited. This allows franchisees to capture sales from customers who may be passing through or who find the Beggars Pizza through online or media advertising.

It is important for a prospective Beggars Pizza franchisee to understand the scope of these advertising restrictions and exceptions, as they can impact marketing strategies and potential customer reach. Franchisees should carefully review their Franchise Agreement to identify any specific geographic areas where they are prohibited from providing delivery service. Additionally, franchisees must adhere to Beggars Pizza's policies regarding advertising and promotion, including obtaining approval for all advertising materials.
