What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must adhere to specific standards for advertising and promotional materials. All advertising and promotional materials, signs, decorations, and other items specified by Beggars Pizza must bear the Proprietary Marks in the form, color, location, and manner prescribed by Beggars Pizza.
Beggars Pizza retains the right to determine what advertising is acceptable or unacceptable, and these determinations are binding on the franchisee. These guidelines may be communicated through the Manual or in writing. Franchisees are also required to participate in promotional programs developed by Beggars Pizza, including gift card, loyalty, and coupon programs, and must comply with all advertising and promotion policies, including the use and acceptance of coupons and gift cards. Participation in these programs may require franchisees to pay or transfer gift card revenue to a centralized account managed by Beggars Pizza or a designated third party.
Franchisees must also participate in online, electronic, or centralized ordering programs developed or designated by Beggars Pizza. This participation may involve installing necessary fixtures, equipment, and information systems at the franchisee's expense, as well as paying associated fees to Beggars Pizza or a third-party provider. Franchisees are obligated to use only the Proprietary Marks designated by Beggars Pizza and only in the manner authorized and permitted by Beggars Pizza. The Proprietary Marks can only be used for the operation of the Restaurant and in advertising conducted at or from the Approved Location. Unless otherwise authorized or required by Beggars Pizza, franchisees must operate and advertise the Restaurant only under the name "Beggars Pizza®" and must use all Proprietary Marks without prefix or suffix.
These requirements ensure that all Beggars Pizza restaurants maintain a consistent brand image and adhere to the company's marketing strategies. Franchisees need to stay informed about the latest advertising and promotional policies and participate in the designated programs to remain compliant. Failure to adhere to these standards could result in penalties or other enforcement actions by Beggars Pizza.
