This Agreement includes initial support for the operating system, such as implementation of patches required to run the Software on the Customer's computers, from implementation of the Software (but only where implementation is done by SpeedLine) until it is used in the Customer's business, and only if it directly relates to the operation of the Software. What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, SpeedLine's responsibility regarding support services for third-party software purchased through them is limited. SpeedLine's sole responsibility is to facilitate and assist in providing the Beggars Pizza franchisee with the support services offered by the third-party owner or supplier of the software, provided SpeedLine has access to those support services. This means SpeedLine acts as a liaison, helping the franchisee connect with the appropriate third-party support channels.

SpeedLine is not obligated to correct problems that arise if the franchisee or a third party modifies, changes, adapts, abuses, or damages the software or hardware. This also applies if the software is merged with other programs, translated into a different language, or if changes are made to the computer hardware or operating systems after the software's release without SpeedLine's written permission. Beggars Pizza franchisees should be aware that any alterations to the software or hardware could void SpeedLine's assistance in obtaining support.

SpeedLine is also not responsible for issues caused by changes in computer hardware or operating systems after the software's implementation, software updates incompatible with existing hardware, or use of hardware or operating systems not supplied and implemented by SpeedLine or a trained integrator. Additionally, SpeedLine is not liable for damages or losses connected to inaccurate information provided by the franchisee or issues related to menu design, setup, or pricing. This highlights the importance of using SpeedLine-approved hardware and integrators and ensuring accurate data input to maintain support eligibility.

In essence, while SpeedLine will assist in connecting a Beggars Pizza franchisee with third-party support for software purchased through them, the ultimate responsibility for resolving issues lies with the third-party supplier. Franchisees should carefully review the support terms of any third-party software and ensure they adhere to SpeedLine's hardware and implementation guidelines to maximize their support options.
