What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, SpeedLine does not guarantee that its equipment or software will meet all of a franchisee's requirements. The responsibility falls on the franchisee to ensure the equipment and software meet the licensor's (Beggars Pizza's) specifications and standards. This includes ensuring SpeedLine is an approved supplier if Beggars Pizza requires equipment and software from an approved supplier.
SpeedLine is not liable for problems or incompatibilities arising from changes to computer hardware or operating systems after implementation, incompatible software updates, use of non-SpeedLine hardware or operating systems, or issues where the software or equipment isn't implemented by SpeedLine or a SpeedLine-trained integrator. They are also not responsible if the franchisee fails to meet SpeedLine's implementation criteria. However, SpeedLine is responsible if the implementation and training are not carried out in a proper and workmanlike manner.
Prospective Beggars Pizza franchisees should be aware that the equipment is supplied by SpeedLine with the manufacturer's warranty only, and SpeedLine disclaims all other warranties. Therefore, franchisees need to carefully assess SpeedLine's equipment and software to ensure it aligns with Beggars Pizza's requirements and their own operational needs before making a purchase. Franchisees should also confirm that they meet SpeedLine's implementation criteria to avoid future issues.
