Is SpeedLine responsible for providing any warranty or condition for Third Party Applications used by Beggars Pizza franchisees?
Beggars_Pizza Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
INTEGRATION WITH THIRD PARTY APPLICATIONS: The Software may contain features designed to interoperate or communicate with applications and services supplied by entities other than SpeedLine ("Third Party Applications"). Third Party Applications may be provided integrated and included as part of the Software or Customer may be required to obtain access to the Third Party Applications from their supplier and/or agree to the supplier's fees and terms of service (in which case their terms of service will govern Customer's use of the Third Party Application and it is provided without representation, warranty or condition by SpeedLine). If the supplier of any Third Party Application ceases to make it available and/or the supplier's fees and terms of service (if any) are not acceptable to Customer, SpeedLine may cease providing access to such Third Party Application and the corresponding Software features without entitling Customer to any refund, credit, or other compensation.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, SpeedLine, the software provider, generally does not provide any warranties or conditions for third-party applications that may be integrated with their software. The FDD specifies that these Third Party Applications may be integrated into the SpeedLine software, or Beggars Pizza franchisees may need to obtain them directly from the third-party supplier. In the latter case, the third-party's terms of service will govern the franchisee's use of the application.
This means that Beggars Pizza franchisees are subject to the terms and conditions set by the third-party application provider, including any fees. SpeedLine explicitly states that these third-party applications are provided without any representation, warranty, or condition from them. Therefore, franchisees cannot hold SpeedLine responsible for the performance, reliability, or any issues arising from the use of these third-party applications.
Furthermore, the FDD indicates that SpeedLine may cease providing access to a third-party application and its corresponding software features if the supplier discontinues the application or if the supplier's terms are unacceptable to the franchisee. In such cases, Beggars Pizza franchisees will not be entitled to any refund, credit, or other compensation from SpeedLine. This highlights the risk that franchisees bear concerning the continued availability and support of integrated third-party applications, which are outside SpeedLine's direct control.
