What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, SpeedLine is not responsible for problems or incompatibilities caused by changes in computer hardware or operating systems implemented after the initial software release or implementation. This lack of responsibility extends to issues arising from software updates that are incompatible with the franchisee's existing hardware, operating system, or supporting facilities.

SpeedLine also disclaims responsibility if the franchisee uses hardware or operating systems not supplied and implemented by SpeedLine or a SpeedLine-trained integrator. Furthermore, SpeedLine isn't liable if issues arise from implementations not performed by SpeedLine or a qualified integrator, or if the franchisee fails to meet SpeedLine's implementation criteria for the equipment and software. However, SpeedLine remains responsible for implementations and training conducted in a proper and workmanlike manner.

This means that as a Beggars Pizza franchisee, you bear the risk of ensuring that any changes to your computer systems are compatible with the SpeedLine software. It is crucial to adhere to SpeedLine's specifications and utilize their recommended integrators to minimize potential issues. Any costs or expenses associated with changes required due to inaccurate information provided by the franchisee are also the franchisee's responsibility. This includes issues related to menu design, pricing, or tax calculations.
