What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, SpeedLine is not responsible for delays in electronic communications that occur during transmission across networks they do not own or operate. This includes communications transmitted over the Internet. This lack of responsibility extends to User Data or Customer Content that is delayed, lost, altered, intercepted, or stored without authorization during transmission across networks not owned by SpeedLine.

This means that if a Beggars Pizza customer experiences issues with online ordering or payment processing due to internet connectivity problems or other network-related delays outside of SpeedLine's direct control, SpeedLine will not be held liable. The franchisee bears the risk of disruptions caused by third-party networks.

This is a fairly standard practice in the franchise industry, as it is difficult for technology providers to guarantee service levels across networks they do not directly manage. Beggars Pizza franchisees should ensure they have reliable internet service and consider implementing backup systems to minimize potential disruptions. Franchisees should also communicate these limitations to customers to manage expectations regarding online ordering and payment processing.
