What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Beggars Pizza FDD, SpeedLine reserves the right to modify its service, either temporarily or permanently. The agreement states that SpeedLine will not be liable to the Beggars Pizza franchisee or any third party for any modifications to the service.

However, if SpeedLine modifies the service in a way that removes or disables a feature that the franchisee materially relies on, the franchisee has the right to terminate the agreement. To do so, the franchisee must provide SpeedLine with thirty days' notice. Upon termination, the franchisee will receive a pro-rata refund of any subscription fees they have paid in advance for the terminated portion of the term.

This clause protects Beggars Pizza franchisees by allowing them to exit the agreement without penalty if a critical feature is removed. However, it also makes clear that SpeedLine has broad discretion to modify the service, so franchisees should be aware of this risk. Franchisees should carefully consider their reliance on specific features of the SpeedLine service and factor this into their business planning.
