Answer from 2025 FDD Document

As more fully described in Item 11, you must obtain and maintain during the term of the Franchise Agreement computer hardware and software meeting our specifications. Unless we consent to your use of a different, comparable brand, you must use Speedline software in the operation of the Restaurant. Neither we nor our affiliate will derive any revenue because of your purchases of Speedline software.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must use Speedline software in their restaurants unless Beggars Pizza approves a different brand. Beggars Pizza and its affiliates do not receive any revenue from the franchisee's purchase of Speedline software.

This requirement ensures uniformity and compatibility across all Beggars Pizza locations, which is a common practice in franchising. Standardized software can help with order processing, inventory management, and reporting, making it easier for Beggars Pizza to monitor operations and provide support.

While franchisees are generally required to use the specified software, there is a possibility of using alternative software if Beggars Pizza provides written consent. This flexibility could be beneficial if a franchisee has a preferred system or if a new, more efficient software becomes available. However, franchisees should be aware that obtaining approval for alternative software is not guaranteed and may require demonstrating that the alternative is comparable to Speedline. Franchisees should inquire about the criteria for approving alternative software and the process for requesting such approval.
