What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor must furnish site selection guidelines and consultation that Beggars Pizza deems advisable to the franchisee. Beggars Pizza will also provide on-site evaluation as part of its evaluation of the franchisee's request for site approval. However, Beggars Pizza will not provide on-site evaluation for any proposed site before receiving the required information or materials.

Beggars Pizza will conduct up to two on-site evaluations at its expense. For each additional on-site evaluation, the franchisee must reimburse Beggars Pizza for its related expenses, including the costs of travel, lodging, and meals.

Before acquiring a site, the franchisee must submit a completed site review form, other required information, and a letter of intent to Beggars Pizza. This submission must occur within 60 days of executing the Site Selection Addendum. Beggars Pizza then has 30 days to approve or disapprove the site. No site is deemed approved unless expressly approved in writing by Beggars Pizza. The franchisor approval of a site indicates that the franchisor believes the site complies with acceptable minimum criteria established by the franchisor solely for its purposes as of the time of the evaluation.

The franchisee must furnish Beggars Pizza with a copy of any executed lease within ten days after execution. The franchisee acknowledges that Beggars Pizza's approval of a site does not guarantee its suitability for the restaurant or any other purpose and that demographic and economic factors could change, altering the potential of a site or lease. Beggars Pizza will not be responsible for the failure of an approved site to meet the franchisee's expectations regarding revenue or operational criteria. The franchisee's acceptance of the franchise is based on their own independent investigation of the site's suitability.
