What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Beggars Pizza FDD, SpeedLine reserves the right to discontinue offering its service to Beggars Pizza franchisees at the conclusion of the franchisee's then-current term. This means that when the current agreement period ends, SpeedLine can choose not to renew or extend the service.
SpeedLine is not liable to the Beggars Pizza franchisee or any third party for discontinuing the service. However, if SpeedLine modifies the service in a way that removes or disables a feature or functionality that the franchisee materially relies on, the franchisee has the right to terminate the agreement with 30 days' notice to SpeedLine without incurring any termination fees or penalties. In this case, the franchisee would also receive a pro-rata refund of any subscription fees they paid in advance for the terminated portion of the term.
This policy is important for prospective Beggars Pizza franchisees to understand because it highlights the potential for SpeedLine to end its service agreement at the end of the current term. While SpeedLine must provide a refund if they remove a critical feature during the term, they are not obligated to continue providing the service beyond the existing agreement period. Franchisees should factor this into their long-term business planning and consider potential alternative service providers.
