What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee cannot relocate their restaurant without the franchisor's prior written approval. This approval can be withheld at Beggars Pizza's sole discretion. The FDD emphasizes that franchisees must operate their Beggars Pizza restaurant only at the location that Beggars Pizza approves initially.
This requirement is standard practice in franchising, as the location of a franchise is a critical factor in its potential success and brand consistency. Franchisors like Beggars Pizza typically maintain control over location decisions to protect the brand's image and ensure optimal market penetration.
For a prospective Beggars Pizza franchisee, this means that the initial site selection process is crucial, and any future relocation plans would be subject to Beggars Pizza's approval. It is important to carefully consider the terms of the franchise agreement regarding site selection and relocation before signing.
