What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Beggars Pizza Franchise Disclosure Document, SpeedLine is not responsible for software incompatibilities with a franchisee's existing computer hardware or operating system. Specifically, SpeedLine is not liable if software updates are not compatible with the franchisee's existing computer hardware, operating system, or supporting facilities. This means that if a Beggars Pizza franchisee's current technology does not meet the requirements of a new software update, the franchisee will be responsible for any upgrades or changes needed to ensure compatibility.

This lack of responsibility extends to issues caused by changes in computer hardware or operating systems implemented after the software's release. Beggars Pizza franchisees are also responsible if they use hardware or operating systems not supplied and implemented by SpeedLine or a SpeedLine-trained integrator. Furthermore, SpeedLine is not liable if the software is not implemented by SpeedLine or a trained integrator, or if the franchisee fails to meet SpeedLine's implementation criteria for the equipment and software.

Beggars Pizza franchisees should be aware that updates may require them to upgrade their existing computer operating system software, computer hardware, or supporting facilities. In some cases, franchisees may need to update their SpeedLine software to use another product or service. It is important for prospective franchisees to factor in potential technology upgrade costs when evaluating the overall investment and operational expenses of a Beggars Pizza franchise. Franchisees should also ensure they adhere to SpeedLine's implementation criteria and use approved hardware and integrators to minimize compatibility issues and maintain support.
