What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, SpeedLine, the software provider, is not responsible for software issues under certain conditions. Specifically, SpeedLine is not responsible if the software is not implemented by SpeedLine itself or by an integrator who has completed SpeedLine's integrator training to SpeedLine's satisfaction. This means that if a Beggars Pizza franchisee chooses to use an unapproved third party for software implementation, they assume the risk of any resulting problems or incompatibilities.

This policy has significant implications for a prospective Beggars Pizza franchisee. It underscores the importance of using only SpeedLine-approved installers to ensure proper software implementation and avoid potential technical issues. By using unapproved installers, the franchisee risks losing support from SpeedLine and potentially incurring additional costs to resolve any problems that arise. This could also lead to operational disruptions and negatively impact the franchisee's business.

Furthermore, SpeedLine's disclaimer extends to issues caused by using computer hardware or operating systems not supplied by SpeedLine or its trained integrators. It also includes problems arising from the franchisee's failure to meet SpeedLine's implementation criteria for equipment and software. Therefore, a Beggars Pizza franchisee must adhere strictly to SpeedLine's guidelines and use approved resources to maintain software functionality and support. This is a fairly common practice in franchising, where franchisors often mandate specific suppliers and implementation protocols to maintain consistency and quality across all franchise locations.

In summary, a Beggars Pizza franchisee should carefully consider the implications of using only SpeedLine or its approved integrators for software implementation. Deviating from this requirement could result in a loss of support and increased risk of software-related problems, potentially impacting the franchisee's operations and profitability.
