What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must exclusively sell menu items that have received explicit written approval from Beggars Pizza. Franchisees are also required to sell all types of menu items and other products and services that Beggars Pizza specifies. Deviation from Beggars Pizza's standards and specifications is not allowed without prior written consent. Furthermore, franchisees must discontinue selling any menu items or other products or services that Beggars Pizza disapproves of in writing at any time.
Beggars Pizza will provide a deadline for franchisees to start selling newly approved products or stop selling products that are no longer approved. For new products, the deadline will be at least 90 days after the notice. For discontinued products, the deadline will be at least 30 days after the notice.
These stipulations ensure uniformity and quality control across all Beggars Pizza franchise locations. For a prospective franchisee, this means they have limited autonomy over their menu and product offerings, and must adhere to Beggars Pizza's decisions regarding what they can and cannot sell. This also means that franchisees need to be prepared to adapt to changes in the menu and product offerings as directed by Beggars Pizza, within the given timeframes.
