For Beggars Pizza, what is the required action for the customer to use its own personnel for implementation and training?

Beggars_Pizza Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Where the Customer will perform its own implementation and training, the Customer's personnel shall first have completed SpeedLine's training to SpeedLine's satisfaction, and the Customer must use such personnel as trained by SpeedLine to perform the implementation and training in accordance with SpeedLine's specifications and standards and with the approval of SpeedLine in writing in advance.

If SpeedLine is required to perform additional training for new or replacement personnel of the Customer, SpeedLine reserves the right to charge for the same at its then-current standard charge rate plus expenses.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 FDD, if a Beggars Pizza franchisee wants to use their own personnel for the SpeedLine software implementation and training, the franchisee's personnel must first complete SpeedLine's training program to SpeedLine's satisfaction. After completing the training, the franchisee must use those trained personnel to perform the implementation and training according to SpeedLine's specifications and standards. The franchisee must also obtain SpeedLine's written approval in advance before their personnel can perform the implementation and training.

If the franchisee requires SpeedLine to provide additional training for new or replacement personnel, SpeedLine reserves the right to charge the franchisee its then-current standard charge rate plus expenses. This ensures that even if a franchisee opts to use their own staff, SpeedLine maintains control over the quality and consistency of the implementation and training process.

This requirement protects SpeedLine's software and system standards. It also ensures that the Beggars Pizza franchisee's staff is adequately trained to use and implement the software correctly. This can help minimize potential issues or errors during the implementation process and in the long-term operation of the software. It is important for prospective franchisees to factor in the time and potential costs associated with this training when considering their options for software implementation and training.
