What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must obtain prior written consent from SpeedLine to change the business location where the SpeedLine software is used. The franchise agreement specifies that the on-premises implemented software can only be used at the location detailed in the Quote and on the number of terminals that matches the number of SpeedLine Solutions software user licenses received.
This requirement ensures that the software license remains valid and compliant with the terms of the agreement. Beggars Pizza franchisees need to plan ahead and communicate with SpeedLine well in advance of any planned relocation to avoid potential disruptions to their business operations. Failure to obtain written consent could result in a breach of the software license agreement.
This stipulation is typical in franchise agreements involving specialized software. It allows SpeedLine to maintain control over the distribution and usage of its software, ensuring that it is used correctly and that the appropriate support and updates are provided for the specific location and setup. It also protects SpeedLine from unauthorized use or distribution of its software.
