Beggars_Pizza Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

  • 7.1 Operating Standards. Franchisee understands and acknowledges that every detail of the Restaurant is important to Franchisee, Franchisor and other franchisees in order to develop and maintain high operating standards, to increase the demand for the products sold by all Beggars Pizza® restaurants operating under the System, and to protect Franchisor's reputation and goodwill.

  • 7.11 Advertising Materials.

Franchisee must ensure that all advertising and promotional materials, signs, decorations, and other items specified by Franchisor bear the Proprietary Marks in the form, color, location, and manner prescribed by Franchisor.

  • 7.4.13 To participate in all promotional programs developed by Franchisor for the System including, without limitation, gift card programs, gift certificate programs, loyalty programs, and coupon or discount programs (except as prohibited by applicable law), as prescribed by Franchisor in the Manual or otherwise in writing from time to time including, without limitation, selling and offering for sale gift certificates or gift cards which may be redeemed at any Beggars Pizza® restaurant for menu items or products, permitting customers who purchased gift certificates or gift cards from another Beggars Pizza® restaurant or Franchisor to redeem their gift certificates for menu items or products at the Restaurant, participating in Franchisor's customer complaint program which may require Franchisee to offer free gift certificates at Franchisee's expense to customers complaining about service at the Restaurant, and installing and using the required equipment or information systems necessary to allow customers to participate in System loyalty programs at Franchisee's expense.

Franchisee must comply with all of Franchisor's policies regarding advertising and promotion including, without limitation, the use and acceptance of coupons and gift cards.

Franchisee acknowledges and agrees that such participation may require the payment and/or transfer of gift card revenue to a centralized account controlled by Franchisor, its affiliate, or to a designated third party for the administration of the gift card program.

  • 7.4.14 To participate in all online, electronic, or centralized ordering programs developed or designated by Franchisor for the System, and only such online, electronic, or centralized ordering programs developed or designated by Franchisor, as prescribed by Franchisor in the Manual or otherwise in writing from time to time.

Such participation may include, without limitation, installing and using, at Franchisee's expense, the required fixtures, equipment, and information systems necessary for participation, and paying to Franchisor and/or a designated third- party provider the then-current fees associated with such programs.

Should Franchisee, for any reason, fail to correct such deficiencies within a reasonable time as determined by Franchisor, Franchisor will have the right, but not the obligation, to correct any deficiencies which may be susceptible to correction by Franchisor and to charge Franchisee a reasonable fee for Franchisor's expenses in so acting, payable to Franchisor upon demand.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Beggars Pizza Franchise Disclosure Document, standardizing advertising and promotional programs is crucial for maintaining high operating standards and increasing demand for products across all Beggars Pizza restaurants. This standardization protects Beggars Pizza's reputation and goodwill. Franchisees must ensure all advertising and promotional materials bear the Proprietary Marks in the prescribed form, color, location, and manner as specified by Beggars Pizza.

Franchisees are required to participate in promotional programs developed by Beggars Pizza, including gift card, loyalty, and coupon programs, and must adhere to Beggars Pizza's policies regarding advertising and promotion. This participation may involve using required equipment and information systems at the franchisee's expense and potentially transferring gift card revenue to a centralized account managed by Beggars Pizza or a designated third party. Franchisees must also participate in online, electronic, or centralized ordering programs designated by Beggars Pizza, which may require installing necessary fixtures, equipment, and information systems at their own expense, along with paying associated fees.

By adhering to these standards and specifications, franchisees contribute to a consistent brand image and customer experience, which is essential for the overall success of the Beggars Pizza system. Beggars Pizza retains the right to correct any deficiencies in a franchisee's adherence to these standards and charge the franchisee for the associated expenses. This ensures that all locations maintain the quality and image associated with the Beggars Pizza brand, protecting both the franchisor's and other franchisees' investments.
