What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Beggars Pizza Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must adhere to specific standards and specifications for all products, materials, supplies, paper goods, fixtures, furnishings, and equipment used or sold at the Restaurant. These standards are established in the Manual or in writing by Beggars Pizza.
Specifically, if a franchisee wishes to use paper goods from a source other than those designated by Beggars Pizza, they must ensure that these goods meet the franchisor's current standards and specifications. The franchisee needs to seek approval from Beggars Pizza to use alternative suppliers for these items. These suppliers must demonstrate their ability to meet Beggars Pizza's standards, have adequate quality controls, possess the capacity to supply the franchisee's needs promptly and reliably, and be approved by Beggars Pizza in the Manual or otherwise in writing.
In practice, this means a Beggars Pizza franchisee cannot independently choose any paper good supplier. They must first propose the supplier to Beggars Pizza for evaluation. Beggars Pizza retains the right to ensure that all products used in the restaurant meet their established standards for quality and consistency. This protects the brand's reputation and ensures a uniform customer experience across all locations. The franchisee bears the responsibility of ensuring the proposed supplier can meet these requirements and provide necessary documentation for Beggars Pizza's review.
