What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Beggars Pizza Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to obtain prior written consent from the franchisor before installing or permitting the installation of any fixtures, furnishings, equipment, decor, signs, or other items on or about the premises. Additionally, all products sold or offered for sale at the restaurant must meet Beggars Pizza's current standards and specifications as outlined in the manual or in writing.
The FDD specifies that franchisees must adhere to Beggars Pizza's standards and specifications for all products, materials, supplies, paper goods, fixtures, furnishings, and equipment used or sold at the restaurant. Franchisees are generally required to purchase food items, ingredients, supplies, materials, and other products and equipment from the franchisor, its affiliates, or approved suppliers who meet the franchisor's standards.
While the FDD excerpts detail the requirements for obtaining approval for fixtures, furnishings, equipment and supplies, it does not explicitly describe the process for requesting approval for a new service. A prospective franchisee should inquire with Beggars Pizza about the specific steps and criteria involved in seeking approval for new services to ensure compliance with the franchise agreement and maintain brand consistency.
