What This Means (2025 FDD)

Based on the 2025 Beggars Pizza Franchise Disclosure Document, all products sold or offered for sale at the restaurant must meet Beggars Pizza's current standards and specifications. These standards are established in the manual or in writing. A franchisee must purchase all food items, ingredients, supplies, materials, and other products and equipment used or offered for sale at the restaurant from Beggars Pizza, an affiliate, or suppliers designated by Beggars Pizza. These suppliers must demonstrate the ability to meet Beggars Pizza's standards and specifications and have adequate quality controls and capacity to supply the franchisee's needs promptly and reliably. These suppliers must also be approved by Beggars Pizza in the manual or in writing.

Beggars Pizza may require a franchisee to purchase any approved products, equipment, and merchandise solely from Beggars Pizza or an affiliate. This means that a franchisee cannot simply introduce a new menu item without going through the proper channels and ensuring that all ingredients and supplies meet the franchisor's standards.

While the FDD excerpt details the requirements for sourcing products and maintaining standards, it does not explicitly outline the step-by-step process for a franchisee to propose a new menu item. A prospective franchisee should ask Beggars Pizza for more information about the specific procedures for suggesting new menu items, including any forms to complete, required documentation, and the criteria used for evaluation.
