What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the product supplier bears the expense of delivering products to the franchisee's restaurant. Specifically, the FDD states that the products will be delivered at the supplier's expense. This means that the franchisee is not directly responsible for covering the costs associated with transporting the necessary products from the supplier to their Beggars Pizza location.

This arrangement benefits the franchisee by reducing their operational costs and simplifying logistics. Instead of having to arrange and pay for product delivery themselves, Beggars Pizza franchisees can rely on the supplier to handle this aspect of the business. This can be particularly advantageous for new franchisees who may not have established relationships with delivery services or the resources to manage product transportation efficiently.

However, it's important to note that while the supplier covers the direct delivery expenses, these costs are likely factored into the purchase price of the products. The FDD mentions that the purchase price for each product includes all applicable federal, state, and local taxes and transportation fees. Therefore, while franchisees don't pay a separate delivery fee, they indirectly contribute to these costs through the price they pay for the products they purchase from the supplier. Franchisees should carefully evaluate the product pricing to understand the overall cost structure and ensure profitability.

Furthermore, the FDD specifies that the supplier will determine the weekly delivery day. Any products ordered less than two days before the scheduled delivery day will be delivered on the following regularly scheduled delivery day. This means that Beggars Pizza franchisees need to plan their orders carefully to avoid delays and ensure they have sufficient inventory to meet customer demand. Effective inventory management and timely ordering are crucial for maintaining smooth operations and minimizing potential disruptions.
