- 16.5 Assignment of Telephone Number.
Franchisee must cease using all telephone numbers and directory or other business listings used in connection with the Restaurant.
At Franchisor's option, Franchisee must assign to Franchisor all rights to such telephone numbers and directory and other business listings, and must sign all forms and documents required by Franchisor and any telephone company to effect such transfer.
Franchisee appoints Franchisor as Franchisee's true and lawful agent and attorney-in-fact with full power and authority for the sole purpose of taking such action as is necessary to complete such assignment and Franchisee must execute Exhibit E for such purpose.
This power of attorney will survive the expiration, termination, or transfer of the Agreement.
Franchisee is not entitled to any compensation from Franchisor if Franchisor exercises its rights or options under this Section 16.5.

According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, upon termination or expiration of the franchise agreement, Beggars Pizza has the option to have the franchisee assign the telephone numbers used in connection with the restaurant to them. The franchisee must stop using all telephone numbers and business listings associated with the restaurant.
At Beggars Pizza's option, the franchisee must assign all rights to the telephone numbers and business listings to Beggars Pizza and sign all necessary forms to effect the transfer. The franchisee also appoints Beggars Pizza as their agent and attorney-in-fact to take any action necessary to complete the assignment, and must execute Exhibit E for this purpose. This power of attorney survives the termination, expiration, or transfer of the agreement.
The franchisee is not entitled to any compensation from Beggars Pizza if Beggars Pizza exercises its rights to the telephone numbers and listings. This ensures that Beggars Pizza can maintain continuity of service and customer contact after a franchise agreement ends.
