What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the operating manual must be kept in a secure place on the premises of the franchised restaurant. The manual remains the sole property of Beggars Pizza.
Beggars Pizza provides one copy of the manual to the franchisee on loan after the franchisee completes the initial training program. The manual can be in various formats, including printed text, computer disks, electronically stored data, DVDs, or videotapes. Beggars Pizza may also provide updates and amendments to the manual electronically, including via the Internet.
The franchisee is responsible for treating the manual and its contents as confidential and must use reasonable efforts to keep the information secret. The franchisee cannot copy or reproduce the manual or make it available to unauthorized persons. If the manual is lost, stolen, or destroyed, the franchisee must obtain a replacement from Beggars Pizza and pay a $250 replacement fee. Franchisees must ensure the manual is kept current at all times and adhere to any revisions made by Beggars Pizza.
