Is the opening timeline for a Beggars Pizza restaurant dependent on obtaining financing?
Beggars_Pizza Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
We expect the Restaurant to open six to eight months after the Franchise Agreement is signed or a location is approved. Factors that may affect the length of time between signing the Franchise Agreement and opening for business include the time necessary to obtain necessary financing, to obtain permits and licenses necessary to construct and operate the Restaurant, to complete construction or remodeling (as it may be affected by other conditions, shortages, delivery schedules, and other similar factors), to complete landscaping, and to complete required training as described below.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the timeline to open a restaurant is influenced by several factors, including securing financing. Beggars Pizza estimates that a restaurant typically opens six to eight months after the Franchise Agreement is signed or a location is approved.
However, this timeline is not guaranteed and can be affected by various factors. One of the factors explicitly mentioned in the FDD is "the time necessary to obtain necessary financing." This indicates that delays in securing financing can directly impact and extend the period before a Beggars Pizza franchise can open its doors. Other factors include obtaining permits and licenses, completing construction or remodeling, completing landscaping, and completing required training.
For prospective franchisees, this means that having a solid financial plan and actively pursuing financing options early in the process is crucial. Delays in obtaining financing can push back the opening date, potentially leading to increased costs and lost revenue. It would be prudent for potential franchisees to discuss financing options and typical timelines with existing Beggars Pizza franchisees to gain a better understanding of this aspect of the opening process.
