What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Beggars Pizza Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees have specific maintenance obligations for their computer systems and required software. Beggars Pizza may specify the brands, types, makes, and models of computer systems and hardware that franchisees must use, including point-of-sale systems, printers, security systems, and internet access. Franchisees are responsible for purchasing or leasing and maintaining the computer system and required software at their own expense.

Beggars Pizza also has the right to develop or designate software programs that franchisees must use, as well as any updates or modifications. Franchisees must install these at their own expense. Beggars Pizza can remotely access data from the franchisee's computer system or software. Franchisees must strictly adhere to Beggars Pizza's standards for the computer system and software and keep the system in good repair.

Overall, this means a Beggars Pizza franchisee must be prepared to invest in and continuously maintain the computer systems and software that Beggars Pizza mandates. This includes keeping up with updates and changes directed by Beggars Pizza, all at the franchisee's cost. This level of control allows Beggars Pizza to maintain uniformity and access data across all franchise locations, but it also places a financial and operational burden on the franchisee to comply with these technology requirements.
