What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Beggars Pizza Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must furnish evidence of compliance with cancellation of registrations within a specific timeframe after the termination or expiration of their franchise agreement.
Specifically, the franchisee is required to take necessary actions to cancel any assumed name registration or equivalent registration that includes the "Beggars Pizza®" mark or any other proprietary marks. Following these actions, the franchisee must provide Beggars Pizza with satisfactory evidence of their compliance.
The critical deadline for providing this evidence is within five (5) days after the termination or expiration of the Franchise Agreement. This requirement ensures that the franchisee promptly ceases using the Beggars Pizza brand and trademarks after the agreement ends, protecting the brand's integrity and preventing potential confusion in the marketplace.
