What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee signs a Site Selection Addendum, they must submit their proposed site for approval within 60 days of signing the Franchise Agreement. Beggars Pizza will then notify the franchisee in writing of their approval or disapproval within 30 days of receiving the proposed site information.
Beggars Pizza will consider factors such as zoning and approvals from appropriate agencies, noise restrictions, size, layout, and proposed lease terms when reviewing a proposed site. The franchisor will also provide site selection guidelines and consultation that they deem advisable and conduct two on-site evaluations as they deem necessary and appropriate at their expense.
If additional on-site evaluations are needed, the franchisee must reimburse Beggars Pizza for expenses, including travel, lodging, and meals. Franchisees must lease or acquire a location approved by Beggars Pizza within 90 days of the Franchise Agreement date within the specified site selection territory. Failure to obtain an approved location within 90 days or open the restaurant within 180 days after signing the Franchise Agreement may result in termination of the agreement at Beggars Pizza's discretion.
