For Beggars Pizza, how long is previous Franchisor approval valid for advertising materials?
Beggars_Pizza Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Franchisee must submit to Franchisor samples of all advertising and promotional plans and materials (including, without limitation, any design, advertisement, sign, or form of publicity) and proposed coupons for any print, broadcast, cable, electronic, computer, or other media (including, without limitation, the Internet) that Franchisee desires to use and that have not been prepared or previously approved by Franchisor within the preceding six (6) months (as provided in Section 21), for Franchisor's prior approval (including with respect to prices to be charged).
Any request by Franchisee for Franchisor's approval of advertising materials must be addressed to Franchisor and marked "Attention: Advertising Department – Ad Review." Franchisee will not use such plans or materials or coupons until they have been approved in writing by Franchisor.
If written notice of approval is not received by Franchisee from Franchisor within fifteen (15) days of the date of receipt by Franchisor of such samples or materials, Franchisor will be deemed to have disapproved them.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, any advertising and promotional materials that have been previously approved by the franchisor within the preceding six months do not require resubmission for approval. This means that if a Beggars Pizza franchisee wants to use advertising materials that the franchisor has already approved, and that approval is less than six months old, the franchisee can use those materials without needing to get a new approval.
However, if the previous approval is older than six months, the franchisee must resubmit the materials to Beggars Pizza for approval. This ensures that all advertising remains current and compliant with the franchisor's standards. The franchisee needs to submit samples of all advertising and promotional plans and materials to the franchisor for their prior approval.
Beggars Pizza will review the submitted materials, and the franchisee must receive written approval before using them. If the franchisee does not receive a written notice of approval or disapproval from Beggars Pizza within 15 days of the franchisor receiving the materials, the franchisor will be deemed to have disapproved them. This places the onus on the franchisee to follow up and confirm approval to avoid delays or potential violations of the franchise agreement.
