For Beggars Pizza, how long does the Initial Term of the agreement continue?

Beggars_Pizza Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

The initial term ("Initial Term") of this Agreement shall continue for the number of months indicated on the Quote.

Thereafter, unless otherwise stated in the Quote, this Agreement will automatically renew for successive periods equal to the Initial Term as set forth in the Quote, (each a "Renewal Term"), beginning at the end of the Initial Term or the then current Renewal Term, as the case may be, unless Customer provides notice of termination not less than 30 days before the end of the Initial Term or the then current Renewal Term, as applicable.

Applicable pricing and billing will continue unchanged unless SpeedLine notifies Customer of changes in pricing and/or billing, including Subscription Fees, billing interval, minimum Subscription Fees, acceleration fees, or any other business terms, at least 30 days prior to any anniversary of the Billing Start Date or as set forth in the Quote.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Beggars Pizza FDD, the length of the Initial Term of the agreement continues for the number of months indicated on the Quote. The agreement will automatically renew for successive periods equal to the Initial Term as set forth in the Quote, unless otherwise stated in the Quote. These periods are referred to as a Renewal Term.

To avoid automatic renewal, the customer must provide notice of termination not less than 30 days before the end of the Initial Term or the then-current Renewal Term. The pricing and billing will continue unchanged unless SpeedLine notifies the customer of changes in pricing and/or billing, including Subscription Fees, billing interval, minimum Subscription Fees, acceleration fees, or any other business terms, at least 30 days prior to any anniversary of the Billing Start Date or as set forth in the Quote.

This means that a prospective Beggars Pizza franchisee needs to carefully review the Quote document to understand the exact length of the initial term and the conditions for renewal or termination. Paying attention to the notification deadlines for termination is crucial to avoid unwanted automatic renewals and associated fees.
