What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 FDD, Beggars Pizza franchisees may encounter interest charges on overdue payments to suppliers like SpeedLine. Specifically, any amount not paid when due will incur interest at a rate of 1.5% per month, which is equivalent to 18% per annum. However, the FDD stipulates that if the maximum applicable legal rate is lower than 18%, the lower rate will apply.
This interest applies to fees outlined in the quote, the agreement, or as otherwise agreed in writing. This includes subscription fees invoiced for each billing interval, typically up to ten days before the start of the interval. These fees are due upon receipt of the invoice unless otherwise agreed.
It's important to note that SpeedLine reserves the right to suspend or terminate a customer's access to the service, terminate the agreement, or withhold customer support and professional services if the account becomes delinquent. This action can be taken with just 5 days' email notice, highlighting the importance of timely payments to maintain uninterrupted service and support.
