What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Beggars Pizza Franchise Disclosure Document, the instructional materials used in the initial training program consist of the Manuals and other operational materials used in Beggars Pizza Restaurants. The initial training program is approximately 15 days in Blue Island, Illinois, and/or at an affiliate-owned Beggars Pizza Restaurant in Illinois.
The FDD specifies that Beggars Pizza does not charge tuition or impose a fee for training-related materials in connection with the initial training program. However, the franchisee is responsible for all training-related expenses incurred by all persons who attend training, including costs of travel, lodging, meals, and wages.
The training program is overseen by Raymond Cantelo, who has been the principal trainer since Beggars Pizza began franchising in 2004. The FDD also notes that the initial training program may change due to updates in materials, methods, manuals, and personnel, or other reasons, without advance notice to the franchisee. The subjects and time periods allocated to the subjects actually taught to a particular franchisee and its personnel may vary based on the experience of the persons being trained.
