Answer from 2025 FDD Document

LOCATION AND NUMBER OF TERMINALS: The on-premises implemented software may be used only at the Customer's location as specified in the Quote, and only on the number of terminals which is equal to the number of SpeedLine Solutions software user licenses received by the Customer or, in the case of certain of the software programs, only on one (1) of the Customer's terminals, as specified in the Quote.

No change of the location or increase to the number of terminals may be made without the prior written consent of SpeedLine.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the on-premises software can only be used at the customer's specific location. This location is detailed in the Quote provided by SpeedLine, the software vendor. The software's use is also restricted to the number of terminals corresponding to the number of SpeedLine Solutions software user licenses the customer has acquired. For certain software programs, usage may be limited to just one of the customer's terminals, as specified in the Quote.

Any changes to the location where the software is used or increases in the number of terminals require prior written consent from SpeedLine. This restriction ensures that Beggars Pizza franchisees adhere to the licensing terms and prevents unauthorized use of the software at different locations or on more terminals than licensed.

This requirement is typical in franchise agreements involving software to protect the intellectual property and control the usage of the software. A prospective Beggars Pizza franchisee should carefully review the Quote from SpeedLine to understand the exact location and terminal limitations, and factor in potential costs and delays associated with requesting changes to these limitations in the future.
