What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the company does not generally own or lease premises to its franchisees. This means that prospective franchisees are typically responsible for securing their own location for the restaurant.
As a Beggars Pizza franchisee, you will need to find a location that meets the brand's approval. The FDD states that you must operate the Restaurant only at the location Beggars Pizza approves. You are not allowed to relocate the Restaurant without prior written approval from Beggars Pizza, which they may withhold at their discretion.
If you already have an approved location when signing the Franchise Agreement, you must begin operating the Restaurant within 180 days. If you do not have an approved location at signing, you must sign a Site Selection Addendum and begin operation within 180 days after obtaining an Approved Location. This indicates that site selection is a critical step in the franchising process, and franchisees should be prepared to handle the responsibilities of finding and securing a suitable location.
