What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if an End User no longer needs the SpeedLine Pay App, the franchisee must ensure the app is immediately deleted or removed from the End User's device. This requirement also applies if an End User ceases employment with the franchisee.
This stipulation is part of the SpeedLine Pay App Legal Terms & Conditions, which modify and supplement the Software License Agreement. The customer, in this case the Beggars Pizza franchisee, is responsible for the use of the SpeedLine Pay App in relation to any device, regardless of who owns the device.
This means that Beggars Pizza franchisees must have a system in place to track which employees or contractors (End Users) have the SpeedLine Pay App on their devices and to ensure the app is removed when it is no longer needed. This could involve implementing a policy that requires employees to delete the app upon termination of employment or when their job duties change. Failure to comply with this requirement could result in a breach of the franchise agreement and potential legal consequences.
