As more fully described in Item 11, you must obtain and maintain during the term of the Franchise Agreement computer hardware and software meeting our specifications. Unless we consent to your use of a different, comparable brand, you must use Speedline software in the operation of the Restaurant. Neither we nor our affiliate will derive any revenue because of your purchases of Speedline software.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beggars Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are generally required to use Speedline software in their restaurant operations. However, there is a provision for using alternative software. Specifically, a franchisee may use a different brand of software if Beggars Pizza provides written consent, and the alternative software is comparable to Speedline.
This requirement ensures uniformity and compatibility within the Beggars Pizza system, which is a common practice in franchising. By mandating a specific software, Beggars Pizza can maintain consistency in data management, reporting, and potentially customer service across all locations. This standardization can streamline operations and facilitate better support and training for franchisees.
For a prospective Beggars Pizza franchisee, this means that while Speedline is the standard software, there is a possibility of using an alternative. However, this is contingent on obtaining Beggars Pizza's approval, which would likely require demonstrating that the alternative software offers similar functionality and meets the franchisor's specifications. It is important to note that neither Beggars Pizza nor its affiliates receive any revenue from the franchisee's purchase of Speedline software.
