Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Franchisee will not use any such advertising or promotional plans or materials unless and until Franchisee has received written approval from Franchisor, pursuant to the procedures and terms set forth in Section 12.7.

Franchisee must submit to Franchisor samples of all advertising and promotional plans and materials (including, without limitation, any design, advertisement, sign, or form of publicity) and proposed coupons for any print, broadcast, cable, electronic, computer, or other media (including, without limitation, the Internet) that Franchisee desires to use and that have not been prepared or previously approved by Franchisor within the preceding six (6) months (as provided in Section 21), for Franchisor's prior approval (including with respect to prices to be charged).

Franchisee will not use such plans or materials or coupons until they have been approved in writing by Franchisor.

If written notice of approval is not received by Franchisee from Franchisor within fifteen (15) days of the date of receipt by Franchisor of such samples or materials, Franchisor will be deemed to have disapproved them.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Beggars Pizza Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee cannot use any advertising or promotional materials until they have received written approval from Beggars Pizza. This includes any design, advertisement, sign, or form of publicity, as well as proposed coupons for any media, including print, broadcast, cable, electronic, computer, or the Internet, that the franchisee wants to use and that have not been previously approved by Beggars Pizza within the last six months.

The franchisee must submit samples of all advertising and promotional plans to Beggars Pizza for prior approval, including the prices to be charged. The request should be addressed to the Advertising Department – Ad Review. If the franchisee does not receive written notice of approval from Beggars Pizza within 15 days of receipt of the materials by Beggars Pizza, the advertising is considered disapproved.

This requirement ensures that all advertising and promotional efforts by franchisees align with Beggars Pizza's brand standards and marketing strategies. It also allows Beggars Pizza to maintain control over the brand's image and messaging, ensuring consistency across all locations. This is a common practice in franchising, as it protects the brand's reputation and ensures that franchisees are not using unapproved or potentially damaging advertising materials.
