What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Beggars Pizza Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must personally participate in the day-to-day operations of their restaurant. However, Beggars Pizza does allow for a day-to-day manager to run the restaurant.
This manager will be bound by certain provisions outlined in the Franchise Agreement, specifically those related to confidentiality and non-competition.
Importantly, the manager is not required to have any equity interest in the franchise. This provides flexibility for the franchisee, allowing them to hire a manager without having to offer ownership in the business.
